DRWO4.0 at the Kingdom of Bees – Tradition and Innovation for the Future of the Wood Industry

On August 24, 2025, Cahul Business Centre (CBC) was invited to participate in the 5th edition of Beekeeper’s Day, Cahul 2025, the Cahul Beekeeping Fair, under the theme Kingdom of Bees – a celebration dedicated to beekeepers and a landmark event for local and regional communities in Southern Moldova.

During this event, CBC promoted the DRWO4.0 project – an innovative model for transforming the wood industry in the Danube region toward Industry 4.0. Through presentations and promotional activities, the project seeks to highlight the importance of digitalization, modern technologies and cross-border cooperation for the sustainable development of the forestry sector and for strengthening the connection between tradition and innovation.

As a project partner, CBC considers the promotion activities of the DRWO4.0 project to be of major importance to increase visibility, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and create bridges of collaboration between communities, industries, and generations. Only through communication and engagement can we accelerate the transition toward a sustainable and digitalized economy.

The DRWO4.0 project demonstrates how digitalization, modern technologies and cross-border cooperation can support not only the wood sector but also related communities – including beekeeping – through sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
