DRWO4.0 Project Presented at Sarajevo Wood Days 7 – International Wood Technology Conference

At the international conference “Sarajevo Wood Days 7 – International Wood Technology Conference,” held on October 14, 2025, at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, the DRWO4.0 project was presented.

The event gathered representatives from the wood industry, chambers of commerce, development institutions, business associations, and numerous companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. The conference focused on innovation, digital transformation, and the importance of international cooperation in strengthening the competitiveness of the wood-processing sector. The conference was supported by the Austrian delegation, consisting of representatives from EventExpo KiK BiH, the Klagenfurt Fair, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna, and the Austrian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Particular attention was given to the announcement of the 58th International Wood Fair 2026 in Klagenfurt (Austria), which highlighted the importance of fairs as platforms for networking, knowledge exchange, and connecting entrepreneurs from across the region and Europe.

During the panel titled “Current State and Trends in the Wood Industry Sector,” Sanja Karanović, Project Manager at the Development Agency of the City of Prijedor – PREDA, presented the DRWO4.0 project, which aims to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises and promote the concept of Industry 4.0 within the Danube Region. The panel served as a space for B2B communication, exchange of opinions, and identification of challenges and potential solutions for further sector development.

Participants emphasized the importance of entrepreneurs connecting, participating in fairs, and sharing experiences, as such cooperation contributes to strengthening innovation and competitiveness in the regional wood industry.
