The Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) – PREDSTAVLJAMO PRIDRUŽENE PARTNERE (ASP) NA PROJEKTU DRWO4.0 9/18

The Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) is an associated partner of the project partner BFC within the DRWO4.0 project.

BSMEPA is an administrative body under the Ministry of Economy of Bulgaria responsible for implementing national policies aimed at promoting entrepreneurship as well as the development and internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises. The agency supports Bulgarian companies in their stable growth, successful integration into the European and global economy, and expansion into international markets. It also plays an important role in implementing government policies in the field of export promotion, recognised as a key driver of economic growth.

🎯 Within the DRWO4.0 project, BSMEPA contributes through the following activities:

✔ Supporting project implementation by providing access to official data on the development of the Bulgarian forest-based industry, the status of the Smart Specialisation Strategy, and planned strategic actions, which are essential for the baseline assessment and the development of the Action Plan (SO1)
✔ Participating in activities organised within the Pilot Environment East (Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine), particularly in knowledge transfer through workshops and study visits aimed at strengthening institutional capacities and gaining deeper insight into modern technologies based on Industry 4.0 standards (SO2)
✔ Supporting the uptake of the project’s key outputs – the developed Solution and Action Plan – by embedding them into future development strategies, contributing to the transformation towards a digital, smart and sustainable Bulgarian economy (SO3)

Through its institutional capacity and role in shaping economic policies, BSMEPA plays an important role in linking project results with future development strategies and strengthening the digital transformation of the sector.
