Hungarian Pilot: A Model for Smart Energy Communities
The Hungarian pilot within the ESINERGY project demonstrates how local energy systems can be efficient, sustainable, and climate-friendly. By combining solar PV, battery storage, and demand control, the pilot delivers measurable results and a scalable model for other communities.
Key achievements:
25,000 kWh/year of PV overproduction saved and used locally
Approx. €7,515 annual savings
5 tons of CO₂ emissions avoided
Energy supply for around 530 households/year
Equal to reducing the annual emissions of 900 cars
Enable Impact:
The pilot enables the integration of 5 new 0.5 kWp PV solar parks, turning innovative solutions into tangible, measurable results.
This pilot serves as a benchmark for scalable, climate-friendly local energy solutions and a reference for other communities aiming to optimize renewable energy use.
