The Second Focus Group Meeting in Zajecar (Serbia)
The second meeting of the focus group on the topic of "Managing the Imbalance Between Energy Production from Renewable Sources and Load in the Electrical Grid" was held on September 18 in Zajecar.
The focus group discussed reducing peak loads in electrical networks and how producers can use energy generated from renewable sources for their own needs (such as heat pumps, batteries, other energy storage systems, chargers, energy communities, etc.) to balance the differences between production and demand.
As an introduction to the topic, the Medjimurje Energy Agency from Croatia and the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency from Bosnia and Herzegovina presented their pilot activities aimed at reducing peak loads in electrical networks.
