Supporting young people’s mental health requires more than awareness — it requires practical, engaging, and accessible approaches that help young people express emotions, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and navigate everyday challenges. At the latest MEET webinar, partners from across the Danube region presented hands-on tools and interactive methods developed and tested in real educational and youth work settings.
Across all contributions, a common message emerged: mental health support for young people is most effective when it is participatory, experience-based, and rooted in safe and supportive environments. Interactive activities, reflection tools, and creative approaches can help young people better understand themselves, communicate with others, and develop coping strategies in a way that feels relatable and empowering.
There is no universal method that fits every young person or context — but through sharing practices, adapting tools to local realities, and strengthening cooperation between educators, youth workers, counsellors, and communities, we can create more supportive spaces for young people’s mental well-being and development.
