Uncover the Secrets of Lake Bukumir with Mystical Danube project

Agency for the Management of Protected Areas of Podgorica embarked on an exciting journey to promote the "Mystical Danube" project and introduce its wonders to the public. Central to this initiative was our belief in the power of young minds—our future. Young people bring creativity, fresh ideas, and innovation, which is why we made them an integral part of the project.

As part of this effort, a field trip was organized for professors and students from the "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium in Podgorica to Bukumirsko Lake and the recently established viewpoints in the Komovi Nature Park.

During the visit, students explored the unique natural and geographical features of the park. They learned about the mesmerizing Bukumirsko and Rikavačko lakes, as well as the surrounding mountain peaks that define the breathtaking landscape.

A special highlight of the trip was unveiling a new informational board in the park, dedicated to the enchanting tales of Lake Bukumir.
