Danube birds are part of an exhibition, presented at the International Music Festival Varna Summer
In September 2024 an exhibition, dedicated to the Danube birds and their habitats was presented to the citizens and tourists of the Varna city in Bulgaria. It was opened on the 9th of September within the International workshop Music of the Danube countries, part of the International Music Festival Varna summer.
The 18 panels, situated on the main entrance of the Marine Park in Varna, represent some of the most iconic habitats and birds of the Danube River, which BSPB has worked to protect for decades. The photographs are made by some of the best wild photographers in Bulgaria.
The International workshop Music of the Danube countries is dedicated to the traditions and the modern trends in the classical music of the countries along the Danube river and the connections and influences amongst them. It consists of theory forum, musical sketches and evening concerts.
The exhibition is part of the Pelikan Way of Life and Danube Free Sky projects, funded by the LIFE Programme of the EU, as well as the RESTORIVER, Interreg Danube Region Programme project, co-funded by the European Union.
