LinkedIn post

From June 4 to 5, 2025, the RTIT>> project consortium held its two-day meeting at premises of project partner Wood K plus in Tulln, Austria.

The meeting was opened with warm welcome remarks by hosts Dr. Christian Hansmann from Wood K plus and Univ. Prof. Dr. Johannes Konnerth from BOKU University, followed by Anđela Nikčević, from LP IEC Tehnopolis.

The key point of the meeting agenda was the presentation of the Action Plan (D1.3.3), laying the groundwork for coordinated action across pilot regions. The discussion continued with input from CCIS on endorsement procedures, including the signing of a Letter of Intent after the meeting.

The consortium also explored progress on transnational roll-out plans in three thematic areas: Advanced Materials, Biobased Materials, and Sustainable Materials. These were followed by national-level updates from the six pilot countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

An additional part of the consortium meeting was focused on preparing the Call for SMEs to participate in demonstration actions. The evaluation and impact of pilot actions were also addressed through the presentation of the Evaluation Plan and a strategic session on project result uptake across RTI ecosystems, business, and policy communities. The first day program concluded with a city tour guide.

The second day began with a site visit and lab tour on “Trends and Visions in Wood Materials Technologies,” followed by sessions on knowledge exchange, and an update on the external materials repository.

The final topic of the meeting covered the project management updates, financial reporting discussions, communication plan and a preview of Period 4 deliverables, ensuring all partners are aligned and ready for the next project phase.

The meeting was concluded with the workshop of future collaboration and writing new project proposals.

The project is co-financed by the European Union funds through the Interreg Danube Region Program.
