RurALL – Liveable Rural Communities of the Future - 1st RurALL Thematic Online Meeting with experts

1st RurALL Thematic Online Meeting with experts

On June 23rd, we successfully held the 1st RurALL Thematic Online Meeting, gathering a dynamic transnational network of rural communities, experts, and project partners dedicated to addressing the challenges of rural depopulation.
The meeting opened with insightful presentations highlighting innovative projects:
🏛️ The new faculty building on the Banja Luka campus, shared by Prof. Malina Čvoro, explored design and context as part of local revitalization efforts.
🌱 Re-functionalization of a historic public bath in Satu Mare City into a centre for ecological education and air quality monitoring, presented by Gyure Rotariuc Noemi.
🏘️ Tina Selami presented on building stock transformation in research and practice, offering strategies for modernizing rural spaces while preserving cultural identity.

Following the plenary session, participants engaged in thematic breakout consultations, exchanging ideas, experiences, and feedback on selected mapped dwellings.
These lively discussions reinforced the power of cross-border collaboration, and the experts, with their experience and knowledge, helped the partners address potential challenges and jointly discuss the next steps in drafting the selection of the building.

Together, through shared expertise and fresh perspectives, we are paving the way for rural areas to thrive well into the future! 🌾🤝✨
