MENDELU project team meets the head of the Tvrdonice forest district

In July, the Czech part of the project implementation team met with Jan Helešic, head of the Tvrdonice forest district, to jointly select suitable stands for field research on narrow-leaved ash. Based on a joint field trip, two suitable stands were selected, where spore trapping will begin in the near future to determine the infection pressure of fungal pathogens such as ash dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus). This will be followed by measurements of changes in trunk circumference using automatic dendrometers.
