International Tethys Workshop Announcement

We are pleased to announce that the International Tethys Workshop will take place on 20 May 2026 in Sofia.

To maximise synergies and stakeholder engagement, the workshop will be organised in close collaboration with the ICPDR Pollution Management Expert Group and held in conjunction with the Danube Water Forum. This joint format will form part of a dynamic 2.5-day event, bringing together a wide range of experts, policymakers, and practitioners from across the Danube River Basin.

The workshop will provide a platform to present and exchange key project results, while fostering dialogue on pressing challenges related to hazardous substances. In particular, the final project output—currently under development—a transnational strategy to address emerging challenges and targets related to hazardous substance pollution in the Danube River Basin, will be discussed with experts.
