Hands-on workshop on data management

On 22 and 23 September 2025, over 20 water quality experts from the Danube region came together to discuss their progress and receive training on implementing harmonised concentration databases. These innovative tools are designed to facilitate the effective management and use of trace contaminants concentration data within and across national borders, primarily to support emission modelling and water quality assessment.

Under the lead and coordination of TU Wien, the project partners have been jointly developing and testing the concept and design of the databases and are now in the phase of implementation. In this workshop they had the opportunity to exchange their experiences and ideas, progress and challenges in importing and managing metadata and to be trained by TU Wien experts in multiple hands-on sessions.
