WE.Circular at the 23rd European Week of Regions and Cities 2025
We are pleased to announce that RAPIV, as a co-organiser within the WE.Circular project, will contribute to a high-level policy session during the 23rd European Week of Regions and Cities 2025, the European Union’s largest annual event dedicated to regional policy and development. We invite all interested stakeholders, regional policymakers, practitioners, and support organisations to join us and contribute to advancing a more inclusive, green, and digitally empowered Europe during a high-level session on empowering women entrepreneurs in the green and digital transition.
Session title: Women Breaking Barriers: Gender-Responsive Twin Transformation Across Regions
Date and time: 15 October 2025, 14:00 – 15:00 (Brussels time)
Venue: SQUARE Brussels Meeting Centre, Rooms 314–316
Official event page for registration: https://regions-and-cities.europa.eu/programme/2025/sessions/46814
Registration deadline: 31 August 2025
This session brings together three EU-funded initiatives that promote women’s leadership in the twin transition – green and digital. It will explore how policy innovation, cross-sectoral dialogue, and replicable support models can enhance women’s participation in entrepreneurship, STEM, and manufacturing.
While the WE.Circular project focuses on building favourable regional policy ecosystems for women entrepreneurs across the Danube Region, the GRANDIS project addresses European-level policy solutions related to the twin transition of female-driven SMEs. The Developing Women Empowerment Models in Manufacturing Industry project aims to strengthen the role of women in manufacturing and STEM sectors through gender-responsive transformation frameworks.
The session will highlight:
Transferable and scalable models for women’s empowerment
Collaborative policy approaches supporting inclusive regional development
Real-life case studies from EU-funded projects
Recommendations for strengthening the role of women in the circular and digital economy
RAPIV, on behalf of the WE.Circular project, will present tools and insights gained through its work in fostering local capacities, supporting circular and smart specialisation strategies, and addressing gender-specific challenges in entrepreneurship.
Participation is free, but registration through the official EURegionsWeek platform is required.
Join the discussion and contribute to building a more inclusive and sustainable economic future.
