WE.Cricular National Stakeholders Group Meeting in Szombathely

The National Stakeholders Group (NSHG) meeting in Hungary on 18th of September, organized as part of the WE.Circular project, brought together key stakeholders through desk research, personal contact, and referrals. The event was attended by  Startitup - spHERe and the Hungarian partner MGFU, as well as four local women entrepreneurs. Each participating entrepreneur gave a presentation about their organization, practices, and potential involvement in the project.

The discussions were highly engaging, with stakeholders asking questions about domestic funding, marketing, and digital skills challenges, particularly for women entrepreneurs in the circular economy. The Q&A session focused primarily on funding opportunities and adapting to digital transformation, which sparked lively debate.

The primary outcome of the WE.Circular NSHG meeting was the successful engagement of local women entrepreneurs working in the circular economy. The event fostered rich discussions, established meaningful points of contact, and introduced the entrepreneurs to the WE.Circular project. The participants showed great interest in potential cooperation opportunities.

A significant topic of conversation was the need for more forums on circular economy topics, especially as the entrepreneurs face challenges related to gender discrimination and the underdevelopment of the circular economy in Hungary.

The participants expressed optimism about their involvement in the WE.Circular project. Discussions also revolved around initiatives to organize women entrepreneurs locally, exchange information, and build a network of contacts. There was interest in creating a common communication platform to promote the circular economy and share knowledge more effectively.

In conclusion, the event helped build a foundation for collaboration and raised awareness of the need for further support and networking opportunities among women entrepreneurs in this field.
