Summer Newsletter: Milestones, Momentum, and What Lies Ahead

As summer begins, we bring you the latest edition of the Interreg Danube Region Programme Newsletter - a look back at recent achievements and forward to the opportunities ahead.

June brought the Danube Region Programme community together for a series of key milestones: National Contact Points and Monitoring Committee meetings, the first Task Force session on the new 2028+ programming period, and an Antifraud Training for Programme bodies.

The Programme's Third Call also closed with strong results - 200 applications received, with a notable rise in Lead Partners and Project Partners from non-EU countries, reflecting the Programme's growing role as an inclusive space for cooperation across the region.

This edition also introduces our new "People of the Danube" blog series, capturing the voices and lessons of those driving change on the ground, and highlights the Programme's growing visibility, from a European Parliament roundtable to the SpongeCity project's appearance at the EU's first Water Resilience Forum in Brussels, and real impact beyond EU borders in Moldova.
