HARMON Seed Money Facility project’s journey

In June 2024, the Danube Region Programme approved 36 new projects through the Seed Money Facility (SMF), a funding mechanism designed to kick-start strategic initiatives in the region. One example of the SMF's impact is the HARMON project, which has evolved from an SMF-funded initiative into a broader regional network that is shaping policies and practices across the Danube area. The HARMON project, focused on the "Harmonization of Green and Grey Infrastructure in the Danube Region," illustrates how a small grant can lay the groundwork for larger-scale initiatives attracting further EU funding and influence regional policy.
