AI in Healthcare: Third Transnational Training in Szombathely, Hungary

The final session of the transnational training series on artificial intelligence took place in Szombathely, Hungary, on March 13-14, 2025. Hosted by Pannon Business Network, the two-day event brought together experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals to explore the transformative potential of AI in the medical sector. Through in-depth discussions and practical demonstrations, participants examined the latest advancements, challenges, and future developments in AI-driven healthcare solutions.

A key focus of the training was understanding AI’s growing role in addressing critical healthcare challenges, such as rising disease burdens, aging populations, and the need for more efficient healthcare systems. Sessions explored how AI is enhancing diagnostics and personalized medicine, improving early detection, prevention strategies, and patient-centered care. Additionally, discussions addressed the responsible use of medical data, examining both the opportunities and risks associated with AI-driven analytics in healthcare. The event also covered the integration of AI and robotics in medical procedures, automation, and hospital management, highlighting innovations that improve efficiency and precision. The "Meet Ameca" workshop provided an in-depth look at the latest humanoid AI companion and its potential applications in healthcare. A demonstration by Pannon Business Network showcased AI-powered healthcare solutions developed within the organization, while experts from the Czech Republic and Slovakia presented innovative business solutions from XR Institute and PROUNION - 3D SOLUTIONS, illustrating real-world applications of AI in medical settings.
