Pilot event in Mikulov, Czechia
The Czech project partner, the Institute of Social Innovations, has organized the first (pilot) folk festival event within the COMMHERITOUR project, aiming to establish a new annual tradition in the Mikulov region. There was no similar specialized folk festival in the Mikulov region yet. So far, local feasts are always connected to the date of the patron saint of the church of each village or celebrations associated with the wine harvest.
One of the objectives of organizing such a folk festival is also to extend (and launch) the tourist season in the region, which is concentrated mainly in summer months, into the spring months.
