Untapped Potential: How the System Loses Young People and What We Can Do About It

What happens when a young person gradually disappears from education, employment and institutional support? And what can local actors do before that happens?

Our Ukrainian partner, Platform for Social Change, is preparing a new COOPOWER podcast episode exploring how vulnerable young people can become “invisible” to existing support systems – and how stronger cooperation between different sectors can help create new pathways for them.

The moderated discussion will bring together perspectives from education, employers, community and faith-based organisations, and employment services.

The conversation will look at the critical moments when young people may fall out of education, employment or support systems, as well as the reasons why some decide to leave their communities or country in search of better opportunities.

The second part will turn towards solutions: how can schools, employers, employment services and community organisations work together to create stronger pathways into employment, further education, entrepreneurship and local opportunities?
