Solution 6 - EM4 System Condition
Within the Danube DNA project, CAMPUS 02, together with technology partners, developed EM4 System Condition — a flexible wireless energy monitoring solution designed to support SMEs in improving energy efficiency and monitoring machine condition.
The solution was created to provide companies with an easy-to-install, scalable, and cost-efficient system for monitoring energy consumption and operational parameters without requiring complex factory-wide modifications. The system enables wireless collection of measurement data and supports both energy optimization and predictive maintenance approaches.
Key features of the solution include:
Wireless energy monitoring,
Flexible retrofit installation,
Modular sensor architecture,
Real-time data collection and visualization,
Customized dashboards,
Expandable monitoring capabilities,
Optional predictive maintenance functionalities.
The EM4 System Condition solution is based on digital power clamps, impulse transmitters, sensor modules, and a central gateway that enables flexible integration into existing industrial environments. The architecture allows monitoring of multiple machines and production processes while minimizing installation complexity and infrastructure costs.
The system is designed as an open and adaptable platform that can support different industrial use cases and future upgrades. By providing detailed insight into energy consumption and equipment behavior, EM4 System Condition helps SMEs identify optimization opportunities, reduce operational costs, improve energy efficiency, and strengthen decision-making processes through data-driven analytics.
In addition to energy monitoring, the solution creates a strong foundation for future implementation of advanced machine condition monitoring and predictive maintenance functionalities, contributing to smarter and more sustainable industrial operations.
