Delegation from Geopark Iron Mountain Visits Swabian Alb
Group Picture of the Participants (c) UNESCO Global Geopark Swabian AlbFrom 16 to 18 September, UNESCO Geopark Swabian Alb welcomed a group from the Iron Mountain Geopark. The aim of the visit was to exchange expertise and learn about the geotourism features of our region as part of the INTERREG project Danube GeoTour Plus.
Although there was not enough time for a complete tour, we were able to visit some of the highlights.
These included visits to the Tiefenhöhle cave in Laichingen and the Landeswasserversorgung water supply facility in Langenau. Both are information points of the UNESCO Geopark Swabian Alb. Of course, a detour to the legendary Blautopf was also a must.
