DWB participation in LAREDAR project partner meeting

Last week, representatives of the Danube Water Balance project participated in the partner meeting of the Interreg Danube Region project LAREDAR. The DWB project was represented by colleagues from the General Directorate of Water Management (OVF) and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to present the objectives and latest developments of the Danube Water Balance project, including the ongoing development of the Danube Basin-wide water balance model and related climate adaptation analyses.

Particular attention was given to identifying synergies and cooperation opportunities between the two projects. Discussions focused on possible links between basin-scale water balance modelling and reservoir operation, drought management, and water retention solutions addressed within the LAREDAR project framework. The exchange highlighted several areas where the projects may complement each other in supporting future water management planning and climate resilience in the Danube Region.

The event also provided valuable opportunities for professional networking and knowledge exchange among water management experts and project partners from across the Danube Basin.
