Kick-Off Event for Danube Wood(s) Route Project Successfully Held in Bled, Slovenia

The kick-off event for the Danube Wood(s) Route project took place on April 4-5, 2024, in the picturesque town of Bled, Slovenia. The event gathered around 60 participants, including representatives from various project partners involved in this ambitious initiative.

The two-day event began with a comprehensive presentation on cultural routes, setting the stage for the project's objectives and activities. Following this, attendees engaged in project-related discussions, including the establishment of the Steering Committee, financial planning, and reporting procedures.

On the second day, the focus shifted to the main activity for the first project period: Developing an Inventory Report of natural and cultural assets related to forests and wood, alongside touristic infrastructure with baseline standards and recommendations. The discussions were highly productive, laying a strong foundation for future project activities.

The event concluded with a brief presentation on Communication Management, ensuring that all partners are aligned with communication guidelines throughout the project's duration.

The kick-off event marked a significant milestone in the Danube Wood(s) Route project, setting the tone for collaborative efforts to promote the rich natural and cultural heritage of forests along the Danube.
