VEDA Workshop: Advancing Sustainable Regional Development and Ecotourism

On June 25, 2024, VEDA organized a pivotal workshop as part of a multi-stakeholder process aimed at enhancing the framework conditions for sustainable regional development. The event took place at the Regional Information Center Varna for EU Funds and focused on the development of new ecotourism products and services.

The workshop gathered representatives from various project target groups, including Varna Municipality, Tourist Information Center, Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Varna, National Palace of Culture and Congress Center Ltd - Varna branch, Black Sea NGOs Network, private companies, and other key stakeholders. This initial step was crucial for engaging local stakeholders in mapping and valorizing the region's natural and cultural resources, as well as in creating regional action plans.

Additionally, the event aimed to build synergy with other EU-funded projects related to sustainable tourism, cultural heritage, and regional development. The collaborative efforts discussed during the workshop are expected to foster a more integrated and effective approach to regional growth and sustainability.
