ICPDR Workshop | Sustainable hydropower development and environmental objectives

In early June 2024 the @icpdr_org Workshop "Sustainable hydropower development and environmental objectives – framework, challenges, and ways forward" took place. This workshop aimed at sharing expertise as well as practical experience, give an overview on policy developments and discuss practical examples.

Marlene from BOKU presented DanubeSediment_Q2, spoke to stakeholders from research, hydropower, water authorities and many more about changes in the sediment regime in the DanubeRiver, its significance in #watermanagement and DanubeSediment_Q2's aim to improve sediment quantity and quality management in the Danube River Basin.
