Stakeholder Meeting at the Galati-Isaccea section
On March 12, 2025, the NIHWM team, in collaboration with SGA Galati, organized a stakeholder meeting in Galati to discuss sediment management along the Danube, with a focus on the Galati-Isaccea section.
The meeting included:
📌 Project presentation – Objectives and activities carried out so far
📌 Stakeholder consultation – Discussions on sediment impact on navigation & biodiversity, and the importance of data exchange between projects
📌 Field visit – Observing morphological changes at the Siret-Danube confluence
We were pleased to welcome representatives from key institutions, NGOs, and academia, all contributing to a valuable exchange of knowledge.
