On 10–11 March 2026, DECA project partners will gather in Cetinje, Montenegro, for an important in-person transnational meeting and Learning Lab, focused on advancing community energy across the Danube Region.

This two-day event marks a key moment for the DECA partnership, bringing together organisations from across the region to strengthen transnational cooperation, exchange knowledge from pilot actions, and expand the capacities needed to accelerate the uptake of community energy in diverse local contexts. Through a structured Learning Lab, partners will share practical experiences from pilot implementation, with a particular focus on community energy activation, co-creation processes, and the lessons learned in working with local stakeholders.

The meeting is designed not only as a platform for reflection but also as a space for joint learning and strategic alignment. By connecting pilot experiences across different countries and governance settings, the event will support participating organisations in strengthening their institutional capacities, refining their approaches, and identifying effective pathways to scale up community energy solutions in the Danube Region.

Alongside the Learning Lab, the programme will also address the project's final-stage strategy, the dissemination of results, the uptake of project outputs, and the long-term strengthening of organisations involved in the DECA process. In this way, the Cetinje meeting represents an important step toward ensuring that the project’s knowledge, tools, and tested approaches contribute to a faster and more resilient energy transition at the local and transnational levels.
