DIGI4Care Showcases Digital Health Innovations at Project Closing Event in Budapest
The DIGI4Care Journey Ends in Budapest
After two and a half years of international collaboration, the DIGI4Care project is bringing partners and stakeholders together in Budapest to present the results of its work on digital health innovation across the Danube Region. The project closing activities take place on 23 June at the Crowne Plaza Budapest Hotel and on 24 June at Európa Pont, bringing together healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, and project partners from across the region.
Led by the Health Services Management Training Centre of Semmelweis University, the project explored how digital technologies can support better prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and long-term care. Partners from seven countries tested solutions ranging from AI-assisted diabetic retinopathy screening and portable ultrasound in emergency care to remote monitoring for cardiovascular patients and digital tools supporting dementia care.
The closing event will highlight not only the pilot results but also the project's broader outputs, including its Integrated Care Model, Data Management Model, Knowledge Platform, and policy recommendations designed to support the sustainable uptake of digital health technologies.
The programme also includes discussions with other European digital health initiatives, reflecting DIGI4Care's commitment to sharing knowledge and building synergies beyond the project itself.
As the project concludes, DIGI4Care leaves behind practical lessons on how digital innovation can help transform patient pathways—and what healthcare systems need to make these solutions sustainable in the long term.
