Digi4Care Podcast Series Launches with a Look at the Future of Digital Healthcare in the Danube Region

The first episode of the Digi4Care podcast series explores this question by introducing the project's vision, objectives, and long-term ambitions for digital transformation across the Danube Region.

In this opening conversation, project coordinator Réka Kovács (Semmelweis University, Hungary) and healthcare innovation expert Péter Pažitný (Prague University of Economics and Business) discuss why Digi4Care was created and what challenges it seeks to address. The episode examines the uneven pace of healthcare digitalisation across Central and South-Eastern Europe and highlights the importance of transnational cooperation in overcoming common barriers.

The discussion covers key obstacles to digital adoption, including fragmented healthcare systems, interoperability challenges, regulatory complexity, workforce shortages, financing constraints, and the need to build confidence among healthcare professionals when introducing new technologies.
