
1st Stakeholder meeting held in Romania by DGASPC Sector 6 Bucharest
ELEVATE Project Launches in 6th District, Bucharest
Inclusive Communities Through Multi-Level Governance
DGASPC Sector 6 Bucharest, Romania is part of a European project aimed at including vulnerable individuals in decision-making regarding social services.
The first stakeholder meeting of this project took place on September 24, at the headquarters of the Local Food Bank Sector 6. Representatives from the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with DGASPC Sector 6, URBASOFIA, NGOs, companies and seniors from the sector participated in the first working meeting of the European project ELEVATE - Multi-Level Governance for Inclusive Communities, funded through Interreg Danube Region Programme.
About 30 people discussed the implementation of a good practices system in social services. They visited the Local Food Bank of Sector 6, the first institution of this kind established in Romania by a local authority.
This meeting marked the first milestone of a project that will continue until March 31, 2028, bringing together 17 partners from 11 countries and 13 associated partners. In the coming years, activities will include surveys and consultations with DGASPC Sector 6 beneficiaries, networking sessions, and exchanges of experience with other countries, all with the aim of identifying concrete solutions, improving services, and fostering innovation.
Through ELEVATE, DGASPC Sector 6 seeks to show that collaboration between central and local authorities, NGOs, the private sector and communities can generate sustainable, inclusive, and innovative models of social development.
