Second InnoWATCCH project partner meeting

The 2nd InnoWATCCH partner meeting took place in Munich, organised by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) on 21st January 2026.

The meeting was successful, with all project partners participating (eight in person and two online), including Geological Survey of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (replacing PP9) and Bulgarian Water Association (replacing PP5).

Presentations and discussions were held in the following topics:

A1.1 Archive data collection on the extent of registered and unregistered paleochannels – review of final data, preparation for delineation of sampling areas

A1.2 Delineation of sampling areas within the pilot areas – discussion and preliminary proposals

A2.1 Investigation of the hydrodynamic connection between paleochannels and the Danube River – presentation and discussion of the methodology

A3.1 Environmental impact analysis – Final methodology, discussion of data requirement and implementation

A special thank you to Arno Rein (TUM) for organizing this partner meeting with such dedication and attention to detail. He made everything run smoothly ensuring the meeting achieved its purpose.
