Interreg Joint Newsletter

United for a Greener Danube: Joint Newsletter Launched by 8 Projects

In a landmark collaboration under the Interreg Danube Region Programme and Interreg IPA Hungary–Serbia Programme, eight projects — Aquatic Plastic, Danube Water Balance, DanubeSediment_Q2, MicroDrink, MICROPLASTICS, RESTORIVER, SAFETY4TMF, and Tethys — have joined forces to launch a joint newsletter.

This initiative reflects a shared dedication to sustainable, transnational water and sediment management throughout the Danube River Basin. The newsletter not only highlights early results but also provides a vision for future cooperation, focusing on:

  • Capacity-building among stakeholders

  • Harmonized methodologies

  • Policy alignment and integration

These are essential tools in addressing the growing environmental challenges facing the Danube.

The launch of this newsletter is timed to celebrate the upcoming Danube Day on June 29, a moment to honor the river that connects and sustains us all.

Dive into the newsletter and explore how regional collaboration is shaping a greener, safer, and more connected Danube.
