MicroDrink Board - Output 3.1
Output 3.1 MicroDrink Board documents the activities, achievements, and key findings of the transnational expert network established within the MicroDrink project to strengthen governance and capacity for managing microplastics in drinking water across the Danube Region. The output provides an overview of the Board's work throughout the project, including regular partner meetings, technical meetings, quality and risk management activities, stakeholder engagement, and recognition of the consortium's efforts within key European initiatives. It also summarises the main technical and strategic findings that emerged from these activities, highlighting lessons learned regarding harmonised monitoring methodologies, laboratory capacities, institutional preparedness, and future implementation of microplastics monitoring in drinking water. Output 3.1 thus represents the collective knowledge generated by the MicroDrink consortium. By bringing together scientific institutions, water suppliers, public authorities, and public health organisations, the MicroDrink Board established a durable platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and transnational cooperation that will continue to support future research, policy development, and implementation efforts beyond the project's lifetime.
