We're an umbrella organization uniting 28 volunteer fire brigades and 23 member organizations dedicated to keeping our community safe. With a structured organizational setup, we ensure quick and effective interventions in times of crisis.

From tackling floods to extinguishing large-scale forest fires, our team has the experience you can count on. We even lent a helping hand in the aftermath of the 2023 earthquake in Turkey.

But that's not all! We're passionate about disaster preparedness and capacity building, working on EU-funded projects to make our region safer. Our Project Management division sparks innovative ideas and forms vital partnerships, while our Training division provides essential skills training, not just here in Hungary, but across our neighboring countries too.

And as if that wasn't enough, we're also proud to chair and coordinate the Disaster Management Working Group of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region Environmental Risks Priority Area, ensuring our efforts reach macro-regional levels.

We're bringing our extensive practical experience in disaster prevention and preparedness to the table! As the coordinator for Specific Objective 2, we're enhancing transnational Tailings Management Facility (TMF)-related safety improvement and disaster management capacities.

Here's what we're up to:
- Conducting policy research and stakeholder mapping 🗺️
- Coordinating online baseline workshops and on-site technical exercises 💻🚒
- Leading a pilot theme on improved coordination and preparedness procedures for TMF safety, along with our partners at HARG 🛠️
- Organizing an international TMF disaster preparedness field exercise 🌍
- Participating in transnational peer-reviews and providing inputs for case studies 📊
