5th SCOM Meeting

The 5th SAFETY4TMF Steering Committee Meeting took place on 16 June 2025

Representatives of all active project partners gathered online to review current progress and plan the next steps within the SAFETY4TMF project.

Key points discussed:

SO1

Partners are finalising national policy and risk analyses, submitting outputs from stakeholder roundtables, and updating TMF inventories and transboundary risk maps. These deliverables will serve as the basis for upcoming policy recommendations. New THI and TRI indicators are also being developed for the next project phase.

SO2

Work is ongoing on training curricula, SOP handbooks, and the e-learning platform. An action plan to harmonise capacity building across the Danube Region is being prepared. It will act as a flexible roadmap adapted to the diverse needs of each partner country.

SO3

Preparations are underway for pilot exercises in Romania (Vlăhița) and Hungary (Szolnok and Algyő), scheduled for September. An evaluation conference is planned in Slovenia in November. Partners are also engaging in peer-review visits and sharing outcomes from their stakeholder roundtables.

Consortium update

The withdrawal of the Moldovan partner (PP8 – MDMoI) was officially approved. As their tasks were country-specific and not transferred to other partners, this change will not affect the overall implementation of the project.

The SAFETY4TMF project continues with 15 active project partners and 9 associated partners across the Danube Region.
