Project partner: Via Carpatia EGTC

EGTC Via Carpatia is a key advisory and analytical organization specializing in regional development, established in 2013 by the Košice Self-governing Region and Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County. They focus on European territorial and R&D project management, particularly in cross-border, transnational, and regional cooperation across various sectors like volunteering, social development, tourism, education, ecology, circular economy, and the silver economy.

Within the SAFETY4TMF project, EGTC Via Carpatia will analyze legislation, strategies, and action plans related to disaster risk management, operate a Stakeholder Roundtable, contribute to baseline studies on TMFs, and assist in formulating policy measures for TMF safety. They will review and revise training programs, enhance curricula and procedures for disaster management, and actively participate in workshops to strengthen their expertise. Additionally, they will also engage in pilot actions focused on advanced risk modeling, participate in peer reviews, and provide inputs for case studies on tested solutions
