First Stakeholders Meeting in Slovenia

The 1st Stakeholders Skills4Life Slovenia meeting took place at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, on the 26th of September 2025

The meeting included a presentation of the project’s goals, specific objectives, activities, and expected outcomes.

It was followed by an introduction to the Fostering Association of Slovenia – its mission, role, and core activities.

Next, the participants – our stakeholders – were invited to introduce themselves. The group included representatives from public authorities, NGOs and civil society organizations, education and training institutions, as well as employers.

Key findings and conclusions of the meeting:

The countries of the Danube Region continue to face significant challenges in social inclusion, equal opportunities, and ensuring a quality life for all.

This is why the project that brought us together is so important. Its purpose goes beyond improving empowerment policies – it seeks to offer concrete support to young people: helping them develop life and employment skills, providing mentoring, education, internships, and assistance in their first steps toward independence.

Final thought:

“We may not be able to change the world at once, but we can open doors.

And sometimes, it is enough for someone on the other side to feel that they are open for them.”
