Third Skills4Life Stakeholder Meeting held in Pitești, Romania

On 15 September 2026, the South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency (SMRDA), Lead Partner of the Skills4Life project, together with Advanced Technology Systems (ATS) and the Argeș Businessmen Association (AOAA), organised the third Skills4Life Stakeholder Meeting at the Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Pitești, Romania.

The event brought together representatives of local public authorities and institutions, public employment and social assistance services, academia, non-governmental organisations and the business sector, providing an opportunity for dialogue and exchange of experience among stakeholders involved in supporting the socio-economic and professional integration of young people leaving child protection systems.

The meeting provided participants with an update on the Skills4Life project and the activities implemented so far, while also focusing on the tools currently being developed to support young care leavers in their transition towards independent living and employment.

A key part of the meeting was dedicated to the Skills4Life Training Platform. Participants were introduced to its main features, including micro-credentials, self-regulated learning and gamification mechanisms, as well as learning analytics.

The Skills4Life Training Programme was also presented and discussed with the stakeholders. The programme is designed to contribute to the development of essential skills and competences that can facilitate the social and professional integration of young people leaving child protection systems.

The meeting created an important framework for gathering stakeholders’ perspectives and exchanging experience on the needs of young care leavers and on how the solutions developed within Skills4Life can better support their transition to independent living and their integration into the labour market.

The event concluded with an open discussion, allowing participants to share comments and perspectives relevant to the next stages of project implementation.
