Seminar and Study Visits organised in Prague within the Skills4Life project

Project partners gathered in Prague, Czech Republic, on 12–13 May 2026 for the Seminar and Study Visits, as well as the First Year Review and SCOM Meeting of the Skills4Life project.

The event was organised by the Czech project partner, the European Development Agency, together with representatives of the lead partner, South Muntenia Regional Development Agency from Romania, the project officer from the MA/JS, Mr Stephen Halligan, Senior Project Officer, and representatives of the project partners.

The first day was dedicated to the seminar organised within the project, bringing together representatives of relevant institutions, professional associations, educational institutions, and care centres for young people in the social protection system. The programme also included a panel discussion during which stakeholders active in this field addressed the current situation of the young people targeted by the Skills4Life project, while also exploring possible solutions and opportunities for improvement.

The day concluded with two study visits: to Romodrom, a nonprofit organization supporting vulnerable groups in the Czech Republic, and to the KORUNA Center, an institution specialized in providing social, educational, and support services for young people facing difficult situations.

The second day of the event was dedicated to the First-Year Review meeting, during which project partners discussed the activities implemented during the first year of the project. Discussions also focused on the ongoing development of the Skills4Life innovative training programme, the Danube Skills4Life Strategy for disadvantaged youth, and the preparation of pilot actions aimed at supporting the labour market integration of young people coming from care systems.

The programme further included discussions on project management, communication and dissemination activities, financial implementation, and the next steps necessary for the continuation of the project activities.
