Study trip to Zvolen
The study trip to the Slovak city of Zvolen took place on September 18 and 19, aiming to connect new technologies and SMEs in the Danube region and support their collaboration and joint projects. The trip was organized by the Slovak National Recycling Agency NARA-SK.
On the first day of the trip, the project partners and their stakeholders that deal with the circular management of textiles and textile waste visited the small company Svetro spol. S R.O. in Banska Stiavnica which operates in the apparel knitting mills sector and employs around thirty employees.
After company visit, project partners and their stakeholders held a meeting with associations of textile manufacturers from the Czech Republic and Austria (the Czech Technological Platform for Textiles, the Cluster of Technical Textile Manufacturers, the Association of the Textile and Leather Industry, the Center for Investment, Development and Innovation) and the Austrian Institute for Ecology, Technology and Innovation OEKO- TEX® certification.
The first day was assigned for a textile exhibition visit and a sightseeing of Banska Stiavnica so all participants had opportunity to get to know better a picturesque Slovak city.
