TEX-DAN and GREEN-TAX at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Textile and Technology

TEX-DAN was presented by the HAMAG-BICRO and the lead partner STRIA at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Textile and Technology on the 17th Symposium of the Textile Science and Economy, held on 28 January 2025. This year the theme was Synergy of technology, science and art: The sustainable concept and development of the textile printing. It was opportunity to hear about new technologies and their applications on fabrics from the scientific and from the business owners perspectives: how those impact new trends and what opportunities they have opened for local industry.

Parallel to the Symposium was held a Green-TEX project meeting. The Green-TEX is a sister project with TEX-DAN dealing as well with circularity in textile industry and better collaboration in this area among Danube region. The link between both project is the Faculty of Textile and Technology which is a partner on the Green-TEX and an associated partner on the TEX-DAN.

The joint meeting was a great opportunity for both project partners to meet in flesh and to bring up collaboration to the next level.

During the joint meeting , Ms. Ebonita Ćurković (HAMAG.BICRO), Mr. Haasz Zoltan and Mr. Bendo Zoltan (STRIA) along with Mr. Radovan Grollmus (NARA-SK) and Ms. Marica Berić (Development Agency of the Republika Srpska ) who joined virtually, gave an overview of the project activities and presented TEX-DAN Joint report on Defining intervention areas, and ongoing pilot project in Slovakia.
