TEX DAN review meeting in Banja Luka 24-25 March 2025

On March 24 and 25, the Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska hosted TEX-DAN project progress and Green-TEX synergy meeting in Banja Luka. The event gathered all TEX-DAN project partners and representatives of the sister project Green-TEX.

On the first day was held a joint meeting with the Green-TEX to discuss synergies among pilot projects which is the common activity in both projects. The discussion was followed by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two projects.

Additionally, discussions were held on the project's progress and an analysis of the results achieved in the first year of implementation.

"Textile production and the industry are facing a global crisis, and the increasing amount of textile waste poses a serious problem. We must intensify our joint efforts in textile recycling," said Mr. BendÓ Zoltán, project manager of the TEX-DAN project.

According to Ms. Marica Berić, head of the Department for Strategic Planning, SME Development, and Entrepreneurship at the Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska, the goal of the project is to support small and medium-sized enterprises in adopting new technologies and knowledge, transitioning to a circular economy, and thus improving their business operations. Another key objective is policy change and the promotion of the circular economy. Notably, the Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska is one of the project partners, while the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska is a strategic associated partner.

The second day JS officers Ms. Katalin Kovács-Kasza and Mr. Mihajlo Cicmilović discussed with TEX-DAN project manager and all project partners the first year completed activities and upcoming tasks. It was concluded that so far TEX-DAN has
been well managed and that collaboration of all project partners is on high level.
