TransAC
Establishing a Danube training academy as measure against brain drain from rural and crisis regions
TransAC is an initiative designed to counter the growing challenges of brain drain and social stress in rural and crisis-affected regions across the Danube area. By empowering young people who are most likely to migrate and supporting vulnerable groups such as the unemployed, early school leavers, women, older adults, and workers from carbon-dependent industries, the project aims to strengthen communities and improve long-term social resilience.
To achieve this, TransAC focuses on high-quality training in additive manufacturing, a rapidly expanding sector with strong economic potential and increasing demand for skilled professionals. Through accessible, future-oriented training opportunities, the project opens new career pathways and equips learners with skills that can help them secure stable employment within their regions.
Supported by the Interreg Danube Region Program and co-funded by the European Union, TransAC contributes to a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable Danube Region helping communities thrive while reducing the pressure that drives migration.
