Bringing 3D Printing Closer to Students: TransAC Activities at Politehnica University Timișoara
The Politehnica University Timișoara (UPT) in Romania continued its activities within the TransAC project, focusing on promoting additive manufacturing and coordinating ongoing project tasks. As part of these efforts, the university welcomed 14 high school students to its laboratory during the Leonardo da Vinci competition, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
The laboratory visit provided an opportunity to introduce young students to the objectives of the TransAC project and raise awareness of modern manufacturing technologies. By connecting students with a university research environment, the activity aimed to encourage interest in engineering, innovation, and future educational opportunities.
Alongside these outreach activities, UPT organized internal meetings with TransAC project members throughout April to coordinate ongoing tasks and discuss upcoming activities. These efforts supported effective project implementation while strengthening the university's contribution to promoting technical education and skills development in additive manufacturing.
