Regional Action Plans for Women Entrepreneurs’ Circular and Digital Transition are now available

The WE.Circular project is pleased to announce that the 12 Regional Action Plans for Women Entrepreneurs’ Circular and Digital Transition are now available.

Developed for Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Baden-Württemberg/Germany, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia, the Regional Action Plans translate the project’s findings into practical pathways for supporting women entrepreneurs in the circular and digital transition.

The plans are based on the results of the WE.Circular skills gaps and needs analysis, policy and legislative framework analysis, stakeholder consultations, co-creation activities and transnational learning process. Each Regional Action Plan reflects the specific context, challenges and opportunities of its country or region, while contributing to a shared Danube Region vision for more inclusive, sustainable and innovation-driven business ecosystems.

Across the 12 plans, common priorities include strengthening circular and digital skills, improving access to finance and advisory support, increasing awareness of circular economy opportunities, promoting mentoring and networking, improving visibility of women entrepreneurs and encouraging stronger policy dialogue.

The Regional Action Plans are designed to support public authorities, business support organisations, chambers of commerce, innovation agencies, training providers, women entrepreneurship networks and other stakeholders in developing more targeted support for women-led businesses.

By making these plans available, WE.Circular provides a practical knowledge base for future cooperation and action across the Danube Region. The output contributes to the long-term objective of empowering women entrepreneurs as active drivers of the green, circular and digital transformation.
