New Opportunities Await: Job Fair Connects Employers and Job Seekers in Livno

On Wednesday, the 29th of October, Livno was the centre of new opportunities and positive change as the first Job Fair of the Herzeg-Bosnian County was held under the slogan: “Izađi iz sjene” – Step Out of the Shadows!

Organised by the Employment Office of the Herzeg-Bosnian County, the event was implemented within the awareness-raising campaign of the WIN project, with the support of the Interreg Danube Region Programme.

A total of 30 exhibitors from across the county participated in the fair, including examples of good practice in the fields of education, and entrepreneurship support. Employers offered around 130 job vacancies, reflecting the growing potential of the local labour market and the increasing interest in employment opportunities within the Herzeg-Bosnian County.

The Job Fair was not only an opportunity to connect employers with job seekers, but also a space for empowerment, education and community building. A special focus was placed on the position of women in the labour market through the panel discussion “Women – An Untapped Potential in the Labour Market” and empowerment workshops, which encouraged open dialogue about challenges, opportunities, and future solutions for achieving greater gender equality in the world of work.

To ensure broad participation, transportation was organised for unemployed persons from all municipalities in the county, as well as for secondary school graduates, who had the chance to learn about employment opportunities and explore their future career paths.

The Job Fair of the Herzeg-Bosnian County sent a strong message to the community – that every individual carries potential that deserves a chance to shine.

Through knowledge exchange, networking, and an inspiring atmosphere, the fair demonstrated that knowledge, talent, and innovation are the foundations of the economic and social development of Herzeg-Bosnian County.
