Empowering women, WINning together: WIN Awareness-Raising campaign results
Between January 2025 and March 2026, the WIN project implemented a comprehensive awareness-raising campaign across seven peripheral industrial regions in the Danube Region. The campaign brought together women, employers, institutions, and communities around a shared goal: improving women's position in labour markets historically shaped by male-dominated industries.
Through 24 events — from employment fairs and entrepreneurship workshops to storytelling formats and digital campaigns — the campaign reached over 700 participants directly through targeted activities, of which 605 were women. Broader outreach extended to over 5,249 people through media, social media, and public events, with digital content generating more than 440,000 impressions and views, and media coverage resulting in 60+ mentions across radio, print, and online platforms.
Highlights included the Employment Fair HBC 2025 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which engaged 545+ participants and 35 employers; the Women's Ethno Hub in Serbia; the Edna ZaDruga community initiative in Bulgaria; the NEMIGEN podcast series in Hungary, which alone reached over 223,000 YouTube views; and the Alfa Women Festival in the Czech Republic, among many other local activities across all seven regions.
The campaign concluded with a final conference in May 2026 at the Oroszlány Mining Museum in Hungary, bringing together partners, researchers, and policymakers to reflect on the structural realities women face in industrial regions and the path forward.
