WIN Policy Briefs: Turning Knowledge into Action

The WIN Policy Briefs translate the project’s research findings, pilot experiences, and stakeholder recommendations into practical guidance for decision-makers. Developed within the WIN project, the briefs provide targeted recommendations for different governance levels and stakeholder groups working to improve women’s participation in labour markets across peripheral industrial regions of the Danube Region.

Drawing on evidence from seven pilot regions, stakeholder consultations, and tested social innovations, the Policy Briefs highlight concrete actions that can help reduce gender inequalities, strengthen women’s economic participation, and create more inclusive labour market environments.

WIN Policy Brief for National Stakeholders

This Policy Brief addresses national ministries, public authorities, labour market institutions, educational bodies, and other national-level actors. It presents strategic recommendations for strengthening policy frameworks that support women's labour market participation, improve access to employment and training opportunities, and foster gender equality across industrial regions.

WIN Policy Brief for Local and Regional Stakeholders

This Policy Brief focuses on the crucial role of local and regional actors in creating more inclusive labour markets. Based on lessons learned from the WIN pilot regions, it outlines practical implementation pathways that support women’s employment opportunities, improve access to training and career development, strengthen local partnerships, and promote gender-responsive regional development. The brief highlights the importance of coordinated action among municipalities, employers, educational institutions, labour market organisations, civil society actors, and regional development bodies.
