Active2Public Transport survey takes the spotlight at ITB
Simone Burster from the Danube Office Ulm/Neu-Ulm presented the Active2Public Transport (A2PT) project and the insights of the Danube Cycling Tourism Survey at ITB, one of the world’s largest tourism fairs, which attracted 100,000 visitors from 190 countries and hosted 5,600 exhibitors.
"The integration of cycling and rail travel is central to the future of sustainable tourism – and today's discussions clearly showed both the growing interest and the vast potential in this area." said Simone Burster after the session.
The panel discussion, organized by the European Cyclists' Federation (ECF), on the topic: the success of cycling tourism: economic impact and multimodality was well-attended, with around 200 participants. The session sparked significant interest, as many attendees asked follow-up questions, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for cycling tourism.
